That’s right – the YIT Horticulture class was at it again in the Life Skills room! During this week’s Farm Food Demo students helped make this classic Italian “peasant” dish, Pasta e Fagioli. In English, the name of this recipe means “pasta and beans.” Add some farm grown herbs, and other vegetables and there’s a yummy dish to be served!
Students helped prepare the ingredients and they all took turns stirring the soup.
When it was ready – they lined up to taste the Pasta e Fagioli (I think they were very hungry from smelling the soup all throughout class).
And of course, staying true to tradition – we all sat down for the “Horticulture Family Meal!”
