Back to School Picnic

School is back in session!  On July 28, 2014 our students returned back from their summer vacations for the first day of school!  However, their first day back was anything but ordinary.  Instead of spending the whole day in classrooms, all of our students were participating in a variety of educational activities while catching plenty of sunshine at our Back to School Picnic on the School Farm!  Now that’s the right way to
jump start the school year!

Our students chowed down on burgers, hot dogs, sausages, chicken wings, french fries and fruit. For dessert, there was an ice cream sundae bar.
Boy was that food delicious!

Not only was the food amazing, but so were the games.  We had learning games, volleyball, frisbee, football, soccer, card games, board games, hula-hooping, jump-roping, face painting, arts & crafts and many other fun and educational activities available for all of our students
to enjoy the entire time!

What is better than relaxing outside, playing games with your friends and chowing down on delicious food? We can’t think of anything else!

Everyone had a blast!

Did we mention that there was a gift card giveaway?

Just when you think this day can’t get any better, it did!  We rewarded each student with a Walmart gift card. Hopefully they will use them for more school supplies!

With such an exciting day to start off, all of our students and staff are super pumped for the rest of the school year. This will only be the first of many memorable days here at our Youth in Transition School.
